Our Story and Craftsmanship
Walnut Precision was established to produce high-quality custom gun stocks that increase performance while showcasing significant beauty. My name is Ryan Denes, and I have been an accomplished competitive shooter for over 10 years in multiple clay target disciplines. During my climb to accolades such as All-American Team Captain and 2019 SCTP National Champion Sub Jr., along with other awards, I have found one thing for certain: any shooter who desires to perform well must have the equipment that works best for them. No two shooters are the same, so it is critical to have exactly what you need.
From an early age, guns and woodwork have fascinated me. During my youth, I was heavily interested in many forms of art such as sculpting, engraving, drawing, and gunwork. In my late teens, while pursuing a marketing degree at Lindenwood University, I realized I would never satisfy my soul behind a computer. I then took a position at a well-established gun company in Parkton, Maryland. Although I started as an apprentice with minimal experience, my years of competitive shooting gave me a clear understanding of what the final product should be. Over the years, I quickly advanced to Senior Gunbuilder. While devoting myself to CNC operations, manual machining, welding, gunsmithing, sales, and other aspects of the business, I found my true passion!
I began performing stock work and repairs for many accomplished competitive shooters. With their support and encouragement, I began building what would become my legacy with Walnut Precision piece by piece. With countless hours of experience and thousands of completed projects under my belt, I decided it was time to take the next step in my career and start a business of my own. I have dedicated myself to ensuring my work is the best it can be. With guidance and advice from some of the best in the business, I know that it’s possible to succeed in this industry. I hold the utmost gratitude for these unseen individuals.
