Our Story and Craftsmanship

Walnut Precision was established to produce high-quality custom gun stocks that increase performance while portraying significant beauty. My name is Ryan Denes, and I have been an accomplished competitive shooter for 10+ years in multiple clay target disciplines. During my climb to accolades like All-American team captain, SCTP National champion, and countless other top scores and positions, I have found one thing certain. Any shooter who wants to perform well must have the equipment that works best for them. No two shooters are the same, so it is critical to have exactly what you need.

From the beginning of my life, guns and woodwork have fascinated me. During my youth, I was heavily interested in many forms of art such as sculpting, engraving, drawing, and gunwork. In my late teens, while pursuing a marketing degree at Lindenwood University, I came to the realization I would never satisfy my soul behind a computer. I then took a position across the country at a world-renowned gun company in Parkton, Maryland. Although I started as an apprentice with minimal experience, my shooting skills taught me exactly what the final product had to be. Within the following years, I quickly moved up to the senior gunbuilder position. While submerging myself in CNC operation, manual machining, welding, gunsmithing, sales, and many other aspects of the business. I found my true passion.

I began doing stockwork and repairs for many accomplished competitive shooters. With their support and encouragement, I began building what would become my legacy with Walnut Precision piece by piece. With countless hours and thousands of jobs under my belt, I decided it was time to take the next steps in my career and pursue a business of my own. I have sacrificed my entire self to dedicate my work to being the best it can be. With the guidance and advice from the people around me, I know that this is possible. I owe my upmost graditude to these unseen individuals.
